Yes, so true. There is so much glory put into the idea of going to exotic places or doing creative, innovative things for others. And that is a great thing! But we have to remember that even the stay-at-home mom has a blessed and glorious job as well. It is on my bucket list to do mission work overseas. But until then I need to look at what I can do in my own household and backyard.

I really like this, Tessa, and am enjoying your thoughts on being a "Lovely". Life is so much nicer when we can all just take a moment to be kind to each other, and you never know what goodness can come your way when you're a person who takes the time and effort to treat other people well. Man, I need to get to work! That's a great story, no, real life example, of people taking their futures into their own hands. Did their first book sell a million? No. Second? No. But they kept at it and built momentum. Great video, thank you for sharing!

I was so happy to see a story about people who created their own work when they got released/quit their job. Too often, we see the reverse: people who sit around and wait for the work to come to them.

Don't answer the door. Period. I know most people are just trying to make a living, but imagine how easy it would be to pretend to be a salesman. Then imagine how easily someone (man or woman) could shove you right inside your house with them. And then you're in a house--probably with your kids--with who knows what. It isn't worth it. What are the chances you'd buy anything, anyway? That's the policy in my house.
